Dear Dooley Families,
Welcome back to Dooley and a great big welcome and hello to those
who are new to our school! I hope you all had a great summer and are
ready to delve into a new school year with high hopes and
expectations. We are lucky to have a fabulous group of teachers and
staff dedicated to guiding our children through their elementary
school experience.
By joining Dooley PTA you can make a statement that you also support
the mission and activities of our school. Parents who are dedicated
to providing a first class learning environment for our children
provide support through:
· volunteering their time in the classrooms
· maintaining our website
· printing our student directory
· writing our newsletter
· providing assemblies and workshops
· Watch D.O.G.S. and mentoring
· organizing activities such as:
o Family Nights
o Walk-a-Thon
o Family Dine Outs
o Book Fair
There are many places where you can
see evidence of the hard work PTA parent volunteers do to make
Dooley a great learning place for our children. With these things in
mind I hope you will take a close look at the
Dooley School Calendar and
Volunteer Interests packet that will be coming home in
your student packets. Please
take a moment and look at the upcoming events and see what piques
your interest. Consider the important role your Dooley PTA plays in
your child's life at school.
We encourage and invite you to join in our efforts to advocate for
our children. When you join your PTA, you get a vote in an
organization where you can voice your concerns, and work with others
